Ian Harvey, joint founder of Civic Voice who has been instrumental in developing Civic Voice into the national charity it is today, will be stepping down in the New Year to take on an exciting new role at the Institute of Place Management at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Ian’s dedication, vision, and leadership have been instrumental in transforming Civic Voice from an idea into a respected national organisation that advocates for communities across the country. His commitment to our “pride in place” mission has inspired civic societies nationwide, empowering communities to engage actively in shaping the places where they live and work. His contributions to the civic movement are immeasurable, along with his tireless commitment to making Civic Voice the influential body it has become.
To ensure continuity, the Civic Voice Trustees are committed to recruiting a successor who can build on Ian’s work, and are actively seeking the right individual who shares the values and aspirations of the civic movement. The aim is to have someone in post as soon as possible to work alongside the Trustees, allowing for a smooth handover period. It is business as usual at Civic Voice, remaining focused on maintaining momentum and continuing to deliver impactful work for members and communities as the new government’s planning announcements continue. Civic Voice will continue to be a powerful advocate for communities and civic societies across the nation. |
