Society unhappy

The planning application for the first phase of a scheme to redevelop a large part of the Old Manor site with retirement housing has been approved. This phase includes a convenience store on the Wilton Road, opposite the law courts, and apartment blocks behind. The Society welcomes the return of the site to an appropriate use, but has serious concerns about the architectural quality of some of the redevelopment.
