Celebrating our Heritage Enhancing our Environment Shaping our Future

SALISBURY ACTIVE TRAVEL CONFERENCE – Saturday 24 February at the Guildhall, Salisbury

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Cycling Opportunities Group for Salisbury (COGS) are bringing together transport experts to celebrate the joys of active travel for everyone.

The implementation of active travel has become more challenging since the UK Government announced a devastating £200m cut to the active travel budget in England in March 2023. This will have major impacts on our society including health, the economy and the environment.

National experts will give presentations and discuss findings from active travel studies from across the UK and how we can all learn from the outcomes.

The conference will be of interest to all those with a keen interest in promoting active travel, including walkers and cyclists, those with disabilities, campaigners, planners, architects, engineers, business groups, colleges and schools and public health.

Our aim is to give local transport campaigners, councilors and residents an opportunity to network and share ideas to discuss how we can promote all forms of active travel in Salisbury and Wiltshire.  We hope the conference will create friendships and empower people who have been campaigning at a grassroots level over the past few years.

Conference registration from 09:00, start at 09:50 Scheduled end time 4:30pm Teas/coffees and a vegetarian buffet lunch will be provided.
